On Sunday, after Kim Kardashian West confirmed to “Entertainment Tonight” that she’s back with husband Kanye West, another celebrity couple entered the fray: Kardashian’s beau Kanye West’s former flame, Pete Davidson.
Last Monday, Kardashian and Davidson were spotted kissing on a yacht in St. Tropez, France.
“I’m like the whitest person in the world,” Davidson joked on the comedian’s “Saturday Night Live” podcast “Carpool Karaoke” this week. “‘I’m light-skinned, I’m slimy, I have massive six-pack abs, I have big balls, I’m good-looking, but I’m a really good driver — and I’m white.’”
“I got to meet him, and I met Kim,” Davidson continued. “So I took some pictures with a bunch of people — just hanging out and then we went in the studio together. I just really like her. I feel like I’ve met the girl that I’m going to marry.”
Kardashian and West split earlier this year and West was recently hospitalized. Kardashian recently revealed on the “Kimmel” show that she’s in the midst of a “reboot” with West, but “it’s a brand new reboot.”
The celebrity couple told People Magazine in May that they are taking things “slow” after a short fling. According to People, West said, “we’re taking time to just hang out and enjoy each other’s company. … We have a lot of love for each other and just want to continue to grow as a couple and that’s it. We’re totally not getting back together. We’re just taking some time apart. She’s going to Paris, I’m going to Wyoming. It’s just time to take some time off.”
But, Davidson said, “I love her so much and respect her so much and care so much about her and what she’s doing and growing with Kanye, so whatever happens from there I think is super cool.”
Davidson said that he first met Kardashian West in March in support of her “Famous” music video. They had been Instagram friends for a few years and posed together for a behind-the-scenes selfie.
“And then we’re hanging out. And like, she was taking me down to the marina and we were hanging out on this boat and we were talking and just talking and hanging out and then there was this moment where it was like, ‘Is she a brunette or a blonde?’ And I looked like a lunatic so I was like, ‘Oh my God,’ and we just hung out for a little bit. We started dating when we were 19, something like that, which is kind of crazy, like, ‘You’re his age.’ She was just in this bathtub, we were smoking cigarettes and I was like, ‘What the [bleep]? You’re 19!’”
“Then the kiss happened and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ And then she was like, ‘We’re dating,’” Davidson continued. “So, like, she was, like, 30 when we started dating. I’m not her age — she’s, like, 41, or something. And I thought, ‘Wow, she’s got so much experience.’ And that’s when I was like, ‘You know what? I’ve found my best friend.’ I love this woman so much. I want to be with her all the time.”
